Absolute Radio 70s is a British radio station that belongs to Absolute Radio network and that plays music from the 1970s. This station was aired for the first time on 29 November 2011, a week after Absolute Radio 60s. Absolute Radio 70s broadcasts through DAB in the Greater London area and also online on a worldwide level.
It was the first UK radio station to be dedicated solely to music from the decade and it was followed by Smooth 70s, which was launched a month later nationally on the DAB multiplex. Despite having a competitor, Absolute Radio 70s continued to brand itself as "The UK's only 70s radio station". On 2013 Smooth 70s ceased transmission. Absolute Radio 70s continues to play "Non-stop music from the 1970s".
