BBC Radio 5 is a national radio station, based in Salford in Greater Manchester it broadcasts mainly news, sport, discussion and interviews. Owned and operated by BBC was launched in March 1994 uses 693 and 909 AM frequency. It is the principal radio station covering sport in the United Kingdom broadcasting all the principal sports events.
