FRCN Peace FM Maiduguri

Radio Nigeria Peace FM Maiduguri is one of the 32 FM stations established by the Federal Radio Corporation Of Nigeria (FRCN) spread across the country. The aim of establishing the community based digital frequency modulated FM station in Maiduguri, is to give access information to millions of voiceless people of Borno State. Consequently, after its installation and completion transmission started in 2004 on 102.5 FM Band. Today Radio Nigeria (Peace FM) Maiduguri is one of the best in the country, providing musical entertainment of high grade commercial and light hearted programmes, covering an area of more than 500 square kilometer radius. Peace FM Maiduguri daily transmission not only cover the entire 27 Local Gov’t Area of Borno State, but parts of Adamawa, Bauchi, Taraba, Jigawa and Gombe State and beyond. Happily, the station is widely listened to because of its locally produced programmes covering topics that includes the voices and views of the people in and around the state especially those living on the shores of lake chad.
