Nova 96.9 FM

Nova 96.9 (call sign: 2SYD) is a commercial radio station broadcasting in Sydney, Australia. The station together with Smooth fm 95.3 are owned by NOVA Entertainment. Nova 96.9 was born due to the growing number of youth that was embracing the commercialized anti-pop movement started by artists such as Daft Punk and Spiderbait. The station was initially very similar to Triple J. However, while Triple J maintained its alternative style, Nova has moved towards a more commercial format. Nova 96.9 main content is adult contemporary hits and it's slogan is "The Greatest Hits Workday/Weekend".
